Avenida South

 - I was promised a refund by the staff working at Avendia South for an overnight parking charge of 64.00 when I was a guest at the Hilton Americas - the hotel advised me since the parking is managed by a 3rd park I would have to go through them. I provided all the information as requested and it's been over a month now and I just get the run around that it has to go through some system. I don't understand how they are so quick to receive payment but it's like pulling teeth when it comes to refunds. If you are staying at the hotel - go through their front desk about parking fees and not Avendia. Because of such horrible service and management I will be thinking twice before staying at the Hilton Americas.

 - I parked for 15 minutes, was charged $25. I find this exorbitant, special event or not. The story: I park at this garage regularly to dine at the nearby Pappadeaux's restaurant on Avenida Houston, and have my ticket promptly validated by the restaurant. Today the waiting at Pappadeaux was over 45 minutes, so I immediately decided to go back to the garage and leave. Mistake! I was charged $25, apparently a flat special event rate. Suggestion: A short grace period (20'?) without charge wouldn't break the bank for the Parking Company and would leave customers a lot happier and willing to repeat.  - I was a guest of the Hilton from 7/4 - 7/8 and was charged a total of $310 in parking!! I thought the max per day was $30; that would have been $120. This is a complete rip-off!
