During our stay in Gibraltar on 03/14/2024, we parked our vehicle in the covered car park located on Devils Towel Road, without barrier at the entrance, without external signage indicating that parking was paid
no ticket at the entrance recording our arrival time which greatly surprised us
with work inside with construction barriers and construction banner on a large part of the ground floor of this parking lot
therefore, for us this parking was temporarily free
on our return, our left front wheel was immobilized with a shoe, installed at 1:24 p.m. without any prior warning then the fine of 84 euros to be paid immediately in order to remove the shoe it really looks like a scam for tourists
therefore, with the language barrier, we are French, it was very difficult to explain to us everything that we have just mentioned above with the agent
when returning the car to the rental agency, the employee noticed that the rim and the front left tire were very damaged, due to the installation of the shoe placed incorrectly without respect for the vehicle in which we are taking care, photos at support if needed
we were charged 240 euros for this damaged rim
we have sent an email to the security company concerned and we have not had a response yet,
we contacted our insurance then our legal department
we request reimbursement of these costs
