Callahan Eye Hospital

 - I brought someone from Huntsville to Birmingham who had an eye appt at the VA Eye clinic within the Callahan Eye Clinic today. We were parked less than 2 hours and when were proceeding to exit, we put the validated receipt in the machine, which told us we owed $20! Are you kidding me?? The lady came from the booth and said whomever had validated had done it wrong but that VA was not affiliated with this parking garage and no discount would be given even with validation. I queried the website for this garage which states a maximum of $15 for the 24 hours period and paying $20 for a 1.75 hour visit is ridiculous. If we are not to park at this facility since it is NOT affiliated with VA to utilize the VA Eye Clinic, then where are we suppose to bring our veterans for their eye care? I am SURE not going to let him out on the street because he cannot walk far - he is HANDICAPPED! We will be returning in two weeks for a recheck and I need info before I come to Birmingham again.  - I entered UAB Callahan Eye Hospital parking deck on 2/26/20 at 12:18PM and departed that same day at 12::31PM for a total of 13 minutes.I should have been charged $2.00 but was instead charged $20.00. The "card no." on the receipt is 5160240867412287353. I noticed that the credit card approval time erroneously reflects 14:47 which may be part of the problem. The correct entry and departure times are, however, shown at the top of the receipt.
