- The Salt Lake International Airport Park and Wait has an airport police officer that harasses shuttle drivers that gas up, grab a lunch, check manifests and wait for passengers to land and grab luggage before proceeding to airport. The sign clearly states "Park and Wait", yet shuttle drivers who are utilizing the on site facility are told by this individual it is not for shuttle drivers to stage even though they are utilizing the facility and a citation will be issued which is a $100 fine for driver and $100 for the company the driver drives for. Also, the shuttles are charged $10 each time they enter the airport. At one time there was a staging area for the shuttle driver to wait for passengers between the terminals, currently there is not a place on site without getting harassed by this person and there is a less than 10 minute wait for passengers to get to the shuttle. So can somebody please clarify if the Park and Wait can be utilized by a shuttle driver? Is there an onsite staging area free of harassement?
