 - BEWARE! We used the Benson Parking Lot #14, (901 Second Ave S.), July 13-15, 2019. We arrived at the lot to find no attendant on duty. There are envelopes on hand to put your payment in and to write amount paid, date and license plate number. I put in the $5 for each weekend day and $15 for Monday, just in case I did not make it back by noon; (rather than the $10 required for the first 12 hours on Monday). Also, on the envelope, I gave extra info, like car make and model, my name and my cell number. Then, I deposited the envelope with my $25 in the drop box. We arrived back at the car at 11:45 a.m. on Monday. While loading our luggage, the attendant on duty was calling us over his booth. He was claiming that we had not paid for our parking!! He was insisting that I was not on his list of paid vehicles. I informed him that I had. After some discussion, he told me leave, but did not acknowledge that a mistake could have been made. It was a very upsetting experience. I would never have not paid, as the lot is posted that you are subject to towing if you do not pay! I wonder now, does Benson Parking try to double charge its customers? Or, was the attendant trying to make some extra cash?
