- Knowing that parking in NYC during a weekday is difficult at best, I decided to use Groupon to see if there were any deals to be had. Well there was a deal all right. On Oct 8th I bought a Groupon for this iPark location. I setup a reservation for the next day and even received the confirmation within the Parkwhiz app. I showed up the next day a few minutes before my reserved time. The parking attendant was out front and waved me off. “ No spaces, it’s full” is what I was told. I told him I had a reservation, but that went nowhere. Even trying to show him on my phone did no good. Time being short, I went elsewhere. Later that afternoon I contacted Groupon customer service, which is only available via their app, I opened a refund request. It took Groupon 20 days to get back to me. They requested additional information (receipts etc..) which I sent. After a little back and forth Groupon was able to resolve the issue. But be warned, maybe it’s just this garage but parking groupons in NYC are, as the kids say, a bit sus.
