- I am very disappointed with the management of this parking garage. I am an employee of the Marriott Biscayne Bay across the street from this garage, and, as employees, we pay $70 per month to park here. We are issued a card to scan on our way into the garage as well as on our way out. On November 25, 2018, I was in a rush to get into work, and couldn't find my parking card, so I pulled a ticket from the booth instead, so I could get into work on time.
Upon exiting after work, I discovered my key card (which I ended up finding) will not open the gate to let me exit unless it was used to enter the garage on the way in. The person at the gate told me there was nothing he could do about it, and sent me to the valet at the Hilton hotel. They could not help me, either, and told me to speak to Claudia, someone who works for the management company, about it the next day, and that she could get my parking reimbursed. So, I used the ticket I pulled on the way out to exit the garage, and paid $38!
Before work the next day, I went to find Claudia. Claudia was not the person I was directed to, but her boss, who told me I would not be able to be reimbursed for my parking. Because I was within the "ticket system" I had to pay to leave the parking garage, and there was "nothing they could do about it." I understand there is a system to operate the garage; it is a business. But how petty is it to make someone pay $38 for making a small mistake? Please contact me so we can work this out.
