Miami, FL is the city of sun and permanent spring break.  With mild weather nearly all year round, Miami is one of the most popular cities to visit for fun in the sun, so don't let crowded parking lots put a damper on your enjoyment.  ParkMe has searched the city for the best Miami parking tips to help get you out of your car and onto the beach faster!

Searching for parking in a specific neighborhood?  Click on the links below to find the best Miami parking spots.

Spacious Lots: There are tons of parking lots scattered around the Miami area.   There are over 30,000 parking spaces in Miami, with each lot averaging 540 parking spaces per lot to make room for all the drivers heading to the beach or downtown area.

Hourly vs. Daily Parking: With so many parking lots to choose from in Miami, all with different hourly and daily rates, it's easy to get confused as to which lot gives you the most bang for your buck.  Don't get stuck paying $12 for 1 hour of parking when you could park for an entire day for the same amount at another lot!  Many Miami parking lots have high hourly, or short-term, parking rates (some as expensive as $3 for every 20 minutes!), but have more reasonable daily rates.  Don't get confused with all the math and comparison shopping, just enter your time of entry and exit on the ParkMe map and we will do all the calculating for you so you can find the cheapest parking for your stay.

Real Time Availability: Several parking lots in Miami are now automated, so you can find out the real time occupancy of each lot.  The easiest way to see if there are available spots in any lot is to visit the ParkMe website.

Street Meters: There are more than 9,1000 metered parking spaces within the city of Miami.  The meter rates range from $0.75-$1.50 per hour.

Pro Parking Tips:

Pro Tip 1: The City of Miami sells monthly on-street parking permits that authorize parking in designated parking areas.  Be sure to read all the signs around you before leaving your parked vehicle to make sure you are not parked in a permit-only zone.  If you have a permit and the on-street permit zones are all full, you can park in the closest available parking lot in the area.

Pro Tip 2: Are you a big Miami Heat fan?  Don't worry about the long lines of traffic before and after the game, you can purchase seasonal Miami Heat parking passes from the Miami Parking Authority that allow you to park your vehicle in lots close to the American Airlines Arena.
