- I entered the MLC car park at 12.50pm to attend the Theatre Royal. This was my first time using the car park. The sign showed car park full. I buzzed for information & the operator said take a ticket & look for parking. I found the signage lacking & very confusing, extremely tight driving through each level, the sign for public parking on levels 1 & 2 was not clear & I had to ask a staff member where to look for spaces, as I could only see spaces ‘RESERVED FOR NAME OF CO. NO PARKING’. I had driven up to levels 3 & 4 initially, not realising I had missed the sign for General public on levels 1 & 2! I proceeded down to levels 2 & 3, I saw the Exit sign, but I had not started looking for spaces on levels 1 & 2 so continued driving forward past the Exit sign & found myself driving in the wrong direction. I therefore reversed with traffic in front & behind me all getting annoyed at my mistake. I felt I had won the jackpot as at the side of me was an empty space (next to an occupied space with a sign showing ‘Reserved parking No Parking’. I moved to allow the other cars to pass by. I was not 100% sure if I had in fact parked in a public space, but there was no sign on the wall, so hoped this was correct. With minutes to go before the curtain call, I rushed with my brother to find the theatre. The whole experience was extremely stressful, & in my haste I left my walking stick behind. Exited at 16.04pm, paid $96.31! Worse experience costing a fortune. I welcome your reply.
