- I had to cancel my appointment at the Department of Respiratory medicine at Wythenshawe Hospital hospital today after driving around to all the car parks that were full up with many people waiting for spots to become open, even cars sitting on Floats Road causing obstructions. I am a wheelchair user and we only had the manual chair so needed to find a spot so my husband could help me get to the appointment, so had to phone them from the carpark and cancel the appointment. It’s ridiculous and a waste of NHS services. Next appointment I will bring the power wheelchair so my husband can just drop me off and go park further away and wait for me to phone him when I am done. There must be a very high number of appointments missed as turning up early and driving around the car parks is no use.
