- Total gridlock at Waitrose car park today. I waited half an hour to leave, assuming that queues would die down, but they didnt.
The cars were stationary, for a long time, so I sat on the wall eating my lunch instead of joining them.
When I did attempt to leave, we didn't make any progress because people kept joining, in front. Being Ely, it was still surprisingly civilised. It took over an hour to reach Brays Lane, after which I went in the opposite direction on a long detour.
I contacted Britannia Parking to have my inevitable and unjust parking fine cancelled. They were helpful.
Nevertheless, an unnecessarily stressful experience.
Someone I spoke to, thought that traffic trying to enter the car park, was blocking the exit. Unbelievable and unforgiveable if that was the case.
