- I used this parking lot because it was near where I was going today. I am a field technician so I drive all over California for work. When I was leaving and wanted to pay by credit card, my ticket wouldn't scan no matter what I tried. The parking attendant Blanca came by my car and told me if it didn't take my ticket, I would have to pay her cash. I told her I didn't have cash, she asked if I had any change, I told her I just have this credit card I use for paying for parking at structures I visit. She told me parking isn't free and I told her that's why I have my credit card in hand to pay for the parking. She told me I could go to a bank nearby or come back another day to pay. I told her that I won't be back because the work I did was temporary and only for today and I needed to get to my next job location which was not in LA. She told me that I should always carry cash on me to pay for parking, and I told her your signs says you take visa/mastercard/discover/etc.. If the machine wasn't working, then you should let customers know before they enter the facility. I asked for her manager's number and she gave me 213-447-5867 which I suspect isn't her manager but in fact her own number. I just felt really shady about the whole ordeal and wouldn't put it past her if she was pocketing that cash for herself because "the machine wasn't working".
