- I had to go to an event at this building .I should add that I'm on crutches. The entry is in back (East) on the South end of the building. It's not too large of a spot for hourly. The handicapped spaces are at the North end. No problem--they are close to the elevator. I park, and press the buttons. Nothing. I try again--the light goes on then off immediately. There are no signs. There is a doorway marked for Residents but it is blocked and has a card reader to open it. Then I notice there is a card reader by the elevator.
I should mention that on a 60 degree day, it must be over 90 degrees down here and must be over 90% humidity. The garage was stuffed with commercial sized Air Conditioner Compressors instead of placing them on the roof. I hobble all the way to the south end and up the car ramp to exit. (Perhaps I should get a flashing light for my crutches when walking in a garage that requires one to walk in the path of vehicles making blind turns.)
Closer to the entrance is another elevator for "Retail," but it also requires a key card.
To avoid a long downward slope to the end of the block, I head North. Need a card there. The breezeway is there next to the building. There are three sets of STAIRS. Glad I'm not in a wheelchair, but each step with a crutch can mean falling and breaking open one's head.
Could you at least put up a sign saying "No dogs or handicapped"?
