 - Would leave no stars if I could. I used to use this car park when it was a man taking cash payment of £3.50 for the day. Went again a few weeks ago to find it is now payment by machine and £5 per day. I did not have enough change, they did not take cards and I was unwilling to download the app of a company I have never heard of. 5 minutes later I exited the car park and went elsewhere. I then received a parking charge of £100, or £60 if paid in 14 days. They confirmed I had only been there for 5 minutes. Shocking! I appealed to Parking Eye who refused the appeal, surprise surprise. I have now appealed to the Ombudsmen as there was meant to be a national set of standards for private parking firms to stop them ripping people off. Sadly, in their wisdom or not, the Government paused the scheme so they could review it all for goodness how long, allowing companies like this to send out totally unreasonable and immoral parking charges as they see fit. Shame on you Parking Eye!

 - You have been warned!!! This car park administered by a company called Parkingeye is a ticket trap. I tried to park there but could not pay the ticket, as the machine only accepted coins or directed you to call a number that subsequently asked you to pay using an APP which I did not manage to download. To make thinks worse, the individual who stays on a cabin was unable to communicate in English and completely useless to sort the issue. Having no way to pay for parking I left the premises. Between arriving and trying to pay for parking I have spent 8 minutes in the car park. few days later, I received a parking charge note of draconian 100 pounds (they charge 5 pounds for the whole day) reduced to 60 pounds if paid within 14 days. I made an appeal but obviously was refused. Again don't use this car park if you don't have coins or their APP on your phone. It is unthinkable that in 2023 you are not able to tap your card to pay for parking. Who does carry cash and in particular coins these days? Not a surprise that the APP scheme was on major newspapers recently. It is a ticket trap!!!!
