Having parked in the car park (Waitrose, Coulsdon) on New Year's bank holiday (03/01), I got a parking ticket for £50. I was shocked as I wouldn't have thought it would be operating a charge system on a bank holiday. Anyway, I have now told Waitrose that I don't intend to shop there anymore as I think £50 is excessive and it has totally put me off, I'm afraid. I am sure I am not the only one. I was told by Waitrose management that they would have waived this for the first offence if I hadn't already paid you but it was too late, which just added salt into the wound. My daughter gave me a £50 voucher for my Christmas present but I'll ask her not to get me one in future. Sincerely Diana Mosley
