- I am appalled by the condition of this rest area and embarrassed for our province should any tourists need to use it. "Beautiful BC" should NEVER have such disgusting toilet facilities. My husband and I stopped today on a trip from the Kootenays to Kelowna and both toilets were covered in excrement, including the seat in the men's toilet. I could not use the women's and when I walked around the back of the facility, I discovered that a number of other people apparently could not either as the ground was littered with toilet paper. This is absolutely inexcusable!!! Please remedy immediately ... someone is not doing their job!
