- Parked for lunch meeting. No machine giving parking time-punch tickets, so I parked. I went to the kiosk and they gave me a card to mark the parking lot entry time. I attended my meeting and returned. I went to the kiosk pay by credit card and was told I must pay cash. She pointed to a piece of paper taped on the right side of the kiosk window that said they cash only.
There had been no sign on the driving entrance to say cash-only. Thus, I found out that I had parked, giving control of my car to the lot, while not knowing I would have to pay in cash to leave. Most businesses that accept only cash, who choose to be legitimately up-front about their practices in charging customers, normally put a sign on the business entrance that says cash only. There was no cash-only sign on the entrance.
I had to walk nearly 2 blocks to Wells Fargo and back, farther than I had to walk to my lunch meeting. It had started to rain. 20 minute delay after my meeting putting me off track for my business calendar. Very unpleasant.
