 - I have been using the White House Garage for 10 years and have never had a issue with the staff or manager. Compared to the SF City Sutter Stockton Garage one block away, the White House is really clean and the parking spaces are wider and have more room to pull out and turn. Nice folks Nicest garage in the City.

 - THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY! The price is $10 for the first hour, and they ask you to pay it before you go to your car. I stayed 30 minutes, paid $10, and went to my car. I was not feeling super well, so I decided to eat my lunch before driving. I left the garage at minute 52, less than the 1 hour I paid. They requested another payment because I OVERSTAYED 15 minutes after the payment! I paid for 1 hour, stayed 52 minutes, and was forced to pay for 2 hours. When I told them I did not want to pay twice for the same hour, the guy left me there, with my car locked by the exit, and told me I would not leave without paying. He did not even want to talk and disappeared. Only after I called the police and threatened to block the exit, more than 30 minutes later, a supervisor came to talk to me. He said that I passed my "grace period" after my payment. This does not make ANY sense. A person can stay 1 hour plus 15 minutes for a grace period for $10. However, I stayed 52 minutes and needed to pay twice just because I followed the signs and paid before entering my car instead of paying by the gate. If I had just paid at the same time by the gate, it would be 10 dollars. But because I followed the sign and paid a few minutes earlier, I had to pay twice. This is ridiculous. The guy was disrespectful, and the entire situation was outrageous! Just because I was too tired and the police said they would take a long time to come, I paid another $10 to go home. Now I want my money back and someone t

 - Do not park here. AVOID. No self parking when advertised available. Valet trapped us on 5th floor while leisurely parking other cars. Valet even said we were paying to look. 15 minutes and never parked but they made us pay. Even cussed at us for arguing. Fraud? Sure appears that way to us, and it just makes a horrible impression to any San Francisco visitor.

 - I parked in this garage and used the ''free'' valet service on the third floor. I noticed a huge scratch on my car when I arrived home and it was obviously from the paint on one of the posts in the garage. I contacted the garage by phone and email multiple times to file a claim/complaint and NO ONE got back to me. The scratch is deep and will likely cost over $500. This is ridiculous. The service and responsiveness is horrible. Do not park your car here until you want to have it scratched.
