- After parking here for the very first time, I am very disappointed. I was told that to qualify for free parking for a disable veteran you must have a rating of 60% or higher and DV plates. The first year that I parked here at this location I did exactly as I was instructed, submit my award letter from the VA and my VA i.d card which says that I have service connected. This is why our country is so divided ( now they're only allowing certain veterans to park here). I have more credentials that most veterans who only receive a pension from the V.A..I have a blue military i.d card that clearly says that I am a retired veteran according to the United States Armed Forces/Army for a service connected disability. I was injured while on active duty, broken C5-C6 in 1979. I am a disable veteran according to my DD-214. I'm medically retired with a service connected disability according to my V.A file, but since it's not 60% and I do not DV plates in their eyes I am not a disable veteran. This company only honors certain veterans according to the disability rating or higher W/DV plates) (60%. This is ridiculous and it's also sad.
