- On Saturday April 30th 2017 afternoon, we parked at Dock 77 with two cars and one motorcycle. We paid for two places since the motorcycle fitted well within the white lines of a parking place, behind my friend's car. We followed the only recommendation on the signs: Pay and display ticket in the car front.
4 hours later, the car I did not parked with got a citation for not displaying its ticket which was fully visible...
My motorcycle was cited twice, for not displaying a ticket on the windshield (they tend to disappear rapidly on a motorcycle by the way), and for double parking based on regulation 15.20.0703 which does not even exist.
Irony, one motorcycle, parked off limits, without parking ticket was not even cited.
Conclusion: LA County Dept of Beaches and Harbors uses this place as a cash cow, do not accurately know relevant regulation, are blind since they cannot see tickets behind a windshield and biased since they do note cite other obvious violations.
