- I reserved a parking space close to the DAR Convention Center for my son's high school graduation. I wanted to make sure that I could park close up since I was bringing a legally blind husband and a disabled grandmother.
The parking at 652 18th St NW, Washington, DC 20433 between F St NW and G St NW, was very close but I was very disappointed. I parked in handicapped and discovered that the door to the elevator was locked. My blind husband and his disabled grandmother had to walk up the steep entry garage ramp to exit onto the sidewalk to walk the 2 blocks to the graduation.
If I had known in advance that they would be forced to walk up the garage ramp instead of using the elevator to street level, I would have used a different parking garage.
