 - On Saturday 19th October I spent over £20 as per rule to qualify for 2 hours free parking. I received a code from customer service which I validated at the car park machine outside shop. The machine screen does not show confirmation that this was done. The following week I received a Parking Charge Notice for £85, reduced to £50 if I paid within 14 days. I rang Sainsburys Bromley Customer Service and after choosing opt 1, then opt 9 (I think) managed to speak to a helpful person who told me to send screenshots of £22 payment to Sainsburys and PCN Within half an hour I was told the PCN had been cancelled.

 - Sainsbury’s car park Bromley Machines won’t adept validation under 20 mins but euro car parks will issue a charge Sainsbury’s won’t issue a ticket if under an hour but euro car parks will issue a charge Go to tescos or pay £50 for parking

 - First visit to Sainsburys Bromley since lockdown eased. Completely unclear as to what to do in the Euro run car park! Barrier down and ticket issued on entry. Asked what to do with ticket in store, as time less than 30 minutes and over £20 spent. Ticket was stamped and was told parking free. A man was working the Euro machine outside, so couldnt do anything with the ticket in terms of validating it. Presumed would do so at exit barrier, but exit barrier was raised and car behind me honking. Couldnt insert ticket as barrier already raised, so drove out and left. But immediately unsure if Ive now got a fine, and what the implications of the raised exit barrier are??
