 - My wife and I left on a cruise on February 5th and parked in Lot C. We were in a hurry and in our haste to catch the bus from the lot to the terminal I left my driver side window rolled down. I didn't realize I had done this until we returned on February 12th. The parking lot staff saw my open window and covered it with plastic and tape and since we had rain while we were gone no rain damage or vandalism occurred with my car. I can't thank the parking lot staff enough for going the extra mile and protecting my car while we were gone. Only one parking lot for me when we cruise - Port of Galveston, Lot C. Thank you guys for everything!!

 - After parking here for the very first time, I am very disappointed. I was told that to qualify for free parking for a disable veteran you must have a rating of 60% or higher and DV plates. The first year that I parked here at this location I did exactly as I was instructed, submit my award letter from the VA and my VA i.d card which says that I have service connected. This is why our country is so divided ( now they're only allowing certain veterans to park here). I have more credentials that most veterans who only receive a pension from the V.A..I have a blue military i.d card that clearly says that I am a retired veteran according to the United States Armed Forces/Army for a service connected disability. I was injured while on active duty, broken C5-C6 in 1979. I am a disable veteran according to my DD-214. I'm medically retired with a service connected disability according to my V.A file, but since it's not 60% and I do not DV plates in their eyes I am not a disable veteran. This company only honors certain veterans according to the disability rating or higher W/DV plates) (60%. This is ridiculous and it's also sad.

 - Hello, I'd like to issue a formal complaint about the police officer directing traffic for Lot B on May 7, 2017. The way he was speaking to me was very degrading and demeaning. I have never been spoken to like that in my life. He was misinformed because he had me confused for another crew member who apparently parks in the same parking lot. He mentioned that he had a previous conversation with me two weeks prior and that he informed me of where to park. But the current ship that I work on is the Carnival Breeze which two week prior was in Dry Dock. There is no possible way this Officer spoke to me about this parking issue because I was not in Galveston two weeks prior. He was racial profiling and speaking to me like I was a criminal. Had he approached me calmly and asked me to move my car because of a new policy that I wasn't aware of, I would have gladly moved. But instead he is arguing with me about a conversation that we didn't have. I am very offended and I would like to be contacted about this matter. I have video evidence of this officers unprofessionalism. The lady who collects money in Lot B for the crew members de-escalated the situation. I am now in fear that retaliation damage will be done to my car. I don't not want this swept under the rug. I will be back in Galveston on May 14 filing a formal complaint. Brian Woods
