- I appreciate the response from the parking department; however, the signage in this lot is not sufficient. I demonstrated that the "no parking" sign does NOT face the direction of the motorist backing into the lot and it is a green wood sign vice any type of official road side marking or signage. The lot is marked by logs that cars easily park over making it hard to see the designated area. There is NO sidewalk along that portion of the road to obstruct. Yet, after demonstrating this on scene to an attendant, in photographs sent to the office and via discussions with senior personnel, the parking department still will issue a ticket vice admitting the parking lot has flaws. The parking situation is terrible in Colonial Williamsburg...efforts are not sufficient by the parking office to fix the situation. The parking office takes advantage of this during extremely high attendance events. Just beware.
