 - My boyfriend & I went to eat at Texas de Brazil on the evening of May 4th 2017 & were instructed by the resturant to park at 110 Peabody Place garage so we could get a parking ticket there & have it stamped/validated at the restaurant so our parking fee could be reduced/waived. We drove up to the parking garage @ 7:48p the security guard was sitting in his booth, while two dudes were telling us that we had to pay $10 up front to them. It was clear they didn't work there. We told them we were having our ticket validated at the restaurant & that we weren't supposed to pay for parking until we left. The guy said, you ain't getting no ticket validated. We told him we didn't care what he said & that we weren't even supposed to pay for parking until we left. The security guard looked on while these men were trying to scam us & he never acknowledged us. It was pretty clear to us that the security guard was allowing these two bums to rip us off & rip his employer off too. We refused to pay the guys who were in civilian clothes $10 to park & we proceeded to press the button to get a ticket from the machine so that we could park. We were going to bring the ticket back with a validated stamp from the restaurant we were eating at. The dudes who were trying to rip us off said if we didn't give them $10 right now, he would have our car towed. So we handed the dude the parking ticket back, reversed our car & parked beside the peabody & paid full price to avoid being scammed.
