- I work right across the street from the garage and this is my first time parking there. When I see alot of my colleagues parking there so I assumed this parking lot was offering free parking or at least parking at a discount for NYU employees. After a 12 hrs plus gruling shift I left work after 9pm and arrived at the garage at 9:20pm. When I scanned my ticket and to my surprise I had to pay $45. I asked the parking attendant why am I paying 45 he told because I'm leaving after 9pm. I pleaded with the attendant if I can get a discount, I was only 20 mins late. After being brushed off like I was a nobody and I'm wasting his time, I decided to speak to the manager the next day and got the same non cohloent response. I was not asking for free parking just a discount, I was not an hour late just 20 minutes. I will never park my car here again for a company that does not care about frontline workers.
