- Very confusing. Was there in June 2023 for the 1st time visiting a specialist that I waited almost a year to see. The sign upon entering says that it will charge you by plate number. Since there were no gates, I thought this was a modern parking lot. Nowhere did it tell you to go to a specific place to pay. So I figured it was like tolls where they scan your plate and charge you accordingly. I went in for my appt and when I came out I had a ticket on my window! I was shocked but saw that it was thankfully a warning. I looked around but there were no obvious paystations or any signs directing you to pay. Instead of telling people upon entry that you get charged by plate number & that you don't need a ticket, you should direct them to pay at the pay station FIRST and then there you can mention not needing a ticket. I was completely unaware of how it worked. What's even worse is that MONTHS later, I get a notice for an overdue parking ticket FROM THIS SAME DAY and they reported it to DMV so my registration is on hold! I was completely confused and didnt realize that this ticket was the same day/time that I got a "warning." After weeks of research & being on hold with different numbers I finally was able to talk to a human who told me that the parking officer issued me two citations back to back at the same exact time & ONE of them was a warning. Now I have to appeal in order to get this off my record. To think it all could have been avoided w/appropriate signage.
