- WARNING!!! Ace Parking is running a scam!
THEY TOW CARS THAT ARE LEGALLY PARKED. And this is a serious crime because they are taking advantage of Downtown tourism. Deterring people from wanting to go Downtown.
On a weekend evening, I parked my car here. Payed for parking at the kiosk. Was the only car parked in the lot (wonder why). Came back a few hours later and my car had been towed. So not only did I pay for parking, I paid for a tow fee as well.
The scam they are running is this: As I explained to the towing company that I had payed to park, they said that I did not put my receipt on the dashboard of my car after I had payed at the kiosk. So, nowhere on their signage at the kiosk does it instruct to do this. The only hint you are given is some small text at the bottom of the receipt that says "place face up on dashboard". Which by the way, it does not say anything about towing your car if you don't. Nor does it say anything about voiding the receipt if you don't. This by definition is a scam.
I hope whoever reads this avoids all Ace Parking lots at all costs, and hopefully someone will correct this scamming company someday.
