 - It took about 20 minutes to obtain a ticket. Two machines were not working and the 3rd machine only worked after about 4 attempts and a lot of frustration and persistence. There was a crowd of people - everyone moaning about the terrible parking machines - including staff members of the shops on the site. The buttons press but do not register. After finally managing to purchase my ticket from the 3rd machine, I had to help two other people who were not native speakers and were almost in tears at the frustration of not being able to get a ticket. I assisted them and helped them get a ticket. I paid for 3 hours parking - two weeks later I received a parking charge - requesting a £100 payment for using the car park for less than 2 hours (reduced to £60 if I paid straight away). Had to open an appeal and submit evidence to prove that I had paid. Luckily I paid by credit charge and the charge is recorded by my bank. This is a parking service from hell which will make me avoid that shopping site in future.

 - All machines were out of order. First 45 mins free. Was there for 1hr 07 and was issued a parking charge of £100, appealed on grounds none of machines were working. Was told I should have called and paid over the phone. It is not a legal requirement to pay over the phone and I did not have a mobile with me. Now have a legal action pending with an admin charge of £70 so fee is now £170 to be paid in 14 days but no matter how you try to pay, in the small print they also add admin fees on top for using their payment service. This is extortion. These guys need to be reported for abuse of power. Also if you try to appeal through POPLA you find you can't unless is was 28 days from initial first charge being levied. AVOID AT ALL COST AND IF POSSIBLE COMPLAIN TO LOCAL COUNCIL.

 - i got a parking fine, never occurred to me that you had to pay. most shopping centres dont charge, look at meadowhall etc. ii will nevefr go there again. Keep away and give your custom to shops that dont charge for parking

 - DON'T GO NEAR THEIR CAR PARKS! Parked here and found the meter wouldn't take cash so paid on my card. Although the screen was very poorly lit and difficult to read it acknowledged payment had been made. Now, two months later I have a parking fine for £100 and as the machine wouldn't issue paper tickets I have no proof of purchase. I checked my bank card and found that indeed payment had not been taken. This can be impossible to check at the time of purchase as such payments often take several days to appear on my bank account. I feel I have been ripped off by this company. Suffice to say I won't be using this car park again and unfortunately this means the shops there will no longer get my custom either. So angry but I feel the only option I have is to pay up. This is a scam company using fraudulent methods to rip people off. DON'T GO NEAR THEIR CAR PARKS

 - £100 fine landed on my mat today for 1 hr 28 mins parking although I paid the £1 so was entitled to 1 hr 45 mins !. I have appealed but as the machine does not give out paper tickets how can I prove it ?. Other issue is that on the letter it states that CPPlus sent me a reduced rate fine on the 8th April, well I have received nothing, all seems a bit of a con to me.

 - Didn't even know about a time limit first time coming here, I took my parents for a coffee and a bite to eat at costa and then had a wonder into the shops. Apparently I was over by 17mins and got landed with a £100 fine... what's the point in having a coffee shop or somewhere to shop if you're against the clock... isn't that the whole point. My advice to people is to park elsewhere and walk in or just don't come, they pray on people. I won't be back!

 - what a con. free 45 mins then 90p a hour so like lots think you get the first 45 free then pay for the next hour but noooooooooooooo i will not be shopping here again.
- Lesley F.
 - this is a complete con. i am not going to pay the fine again.i already got fleeced once and paid the amount of 170 pounds. this time i wont pay. go to hell with you scumbags in the parking. we'll see what is going to happen. if you come after me, we'll see you in court

 -  My wife has just received a penalty notice for £100 for 1 hour 19 minutes of parking. It says 45 minutes is free so she paid £1 thinking it would cover 1 hour 45 minutes-but it turns out that 45 minutes isn't free if you stay longer. Only there for 1 hour 19 minutes, paid £1 and now have a parking penalty of £100. to add insult to injury, there is a further fee for paying by card. These people are cowboys-hit them where it hurts and park somewhere else. My wife will never park there again! This is purposely misleading to enable exorbitant unjustified penalties to be charged. Don't park there! I had to give 1 to 5 stars-but wanted to give none.

 - Same as everyone else, machines were not working for cash payment so spent about 20mins downloading the app paying the fee, checked the app and was given time of arrival and told time I had to leave, so went off thinking everything was fine. This was 19th June on the 22nd July I received a penalty notice (dated 8th!?), saying I didn't pay. Thought no bother I have the app - checked the app - no parking history!! This is a complete con! My bank tell me that if the payment came out, but was later returned it disappears from my account so there is no record, as I am sure PayByPhone and CPPlus are completely aware of. So with no paper ticket you are stuck. I am not leaving it here I am taking this further, its ridiculous. I would love to know how may people this happens to each day. If they check CCTV they will see me checking the machines and then having to stand there downloading an App etc etc. Why would I do all this not to pay!?....
